War Hawk Hoops looking for a win in Region IV-AA

The Colleton Prep War Hawk varsity boys’ basketball team continues to look for the silver lining in a season where they have struggled.

The War Hawks dropped to 1-21 overall and 0-11 in SCISA Region IV-AA.

The War Hawks dropped their contest against Hilton Head Prep 67-4 on Wednesday, January 19. Jeb Crews scored 3 points and Walker Nettles had 1 point.

Against John Paul II on Tuesday, January 25, the War Hawks lost 58-33 at home. Crews led with 7 points in the game. Maddox Brewster, Braeden Hiers, and Colton Daniels each added 6 points. Other scoring included Wylan Sheffield 3, Bryce Kinard 3, and West Brown 2.

At home on Friday, January 28 against Hilton Head Christian, the War Hawks fell 59-29. Will Brady led scoring with 7 points and Kinard added 6 points. Other scoring included Hiers 5, Brown 4, Crews 3, Daniels 2, and Brewster 2.

In a 67-26 loss versus Thomas Heyward Academy on Tuesday, February 1 on the road, Braeden Hiers led putting 8 points on the boards.

Crews led the War Hawks in scoring with 9 points in the loss against Savannah Classical (46-29) on Thursday, February 3 at home. Hiers added 5 points and Walker Nettles had 4 points. Other scoring included Kinard 3, Sheffield 3, Catterton 2, Brown 2, and Daniels 1.

The following evening on the road against Beaufort Academy, Brewster scored 9 points and Hiers added 6 points. Other scoring included Crews 3, Catterton 2, and Sheffield 1.

Colleton Prep was scheduled to travel to Bethesda Academy on Tuesday, February 8 before hosting Hilton Head Prep on Friday, February 11.
