Tails will be wagging at the Friends of Colleton County Animal Shelter’s 8th Annual Walk & Wag and Rice Festival Dog Show, which will be held on Saturday, October 9th.

The event will be held at the Colleton Wildlife Discovery Center parking lot and amphitheater beginning at 10:00 a.m. with the dog show and then continuing with Walk & Wag until 2:00 p.m.

Hotdogs, games, prizes, Pelican’s Snoballs, raffle, FoCCAS bingo, music, and photo ops will be featured at the event, along with the dog show.

Dog owners must bring proof of rabies vaccines for the dog show. There is a $5 entry fee per dog show category or a donation of paper towels or Dawn dishwashing liquid (blue) or a gallon of bleach.

Dog show categories are Best Dressed, Best Look Alike (owner and dog), Best Trick, Golden Oldie (7 years plus), Colleton Special (mixed breed), Classiest Purebred, Prettiest Pup (1 year or under), Best Shelter/Rescue, Most Photogenic-People’s Choice Award (online only), and Best In Show (Judges Choice Award).

This free event for the public, and a lot of fun for pet owners as well as those who just want to watch and enjoy a great show.
