The Colleton County Veterans Council has canceled this year’s Veterans Day parade due to the pandemic.
As an alternative, the Veterans Council in partnership with the Colleton County School District are having a Veterans’ Appreciation week Nov. 8-14.
“We are asking the businesses, especially along the parade route, to decorate their storefront with a patriotic display in honor of our veterans. Everyone is invited to participate. We would also like to include a list of businesses that offer discounts,” said Colleton County Veterans Affairs Officer Janet Smith.
