Meet K9 Blu! He is a seven-year-old bluetick hound. He’s a single purpose tracking dog. K9 Blu has been serving the citizens of Colleton County for four years. Blu is very driven on tracks and the only one in the team that lets his voice known when he is on!! His handler, Deputy Polston has been at the Sheriff’s Office for 12 years and a certified K9 handler for four years. This past year Deputy Polston was able to complete his certification for being a dual purpose canine handler in tracking and narcotics. K9 Blu has given him the drive and the purpose for his success in law-enforcement.
Their partnership on and off duty is not only incredible but the reason they are both proud to serve the citizens of Colleton County and work with some of the best officers and command staff around!
