Dorchester County Sheriff’s Deputies Arrest Suspect for Attempted Murder Following Early Morning Stabbing

On Sunday, December 21, 2025, at approximately 2:42 a.m., Dorchester County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to Parker’s Kitchen, located at 1000 Linger Longer Drive, in reference to an unresponsive male who was bleeding from his chest.

While enroute to the location, deputies were advised that the victim was being transported from Parker’s Kitchen in a vehicle traveling along Dorchester Road. Responding deputies located the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop, where they found the victim suffering from an apparent stab wound.

Dorchester County Sheriff’s Deputies immediately began rendering lifesaving aid to the victim until Dorchester County Emergency Medical Services arrived on scene and transported the victim to a local hospital for further treatment.

Detectives with the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division responded to the scene of the original incident and began investigating, assisted by members of the Patrol Division and Crime Scene Unit.

The suspect, identified as Sam Quentin Brown, 37, of Walterboro, was taken into custody, placed under arrest, and charged with Attempted Murder and Possession of a Weapon During the Commission of a Violent Crime.

Brown remains in custody at the L.C. Knight Detention Center under a $400,000 Bond.

The investigation into this incident remains active and ongoing by the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division.
