Glenn Steven Tumbleston, Sr. of Cottageville, S.C., husband of Betty Louise Riley Tumbleston entered into eternal rest on Friday November 10, 2023 at his residence surrounded by his family and friends. His memorial service will be held on Saturday December 9, 2023, at Maple Cane Baptist Church 21324 Augusta Hwy. Cottageville, S.C. 29435, 1:00. The family will be receiving friends from 12:00 to 1:00 at Maple Cane Baptist Church on Saturday December 9, 2023. Glenn was born on May 11, 1964 in Charleston, S.C., the son of Donald A. Tumbleston, Sr. and the late Betty Bunton Tumbleston. Glenn enjoyed life spending most of his time with family and friends. Glenn spent his time boating in the Edisto River and riding his dirt bike. Glenn was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, uncle, brother and friend. He is a graduate of Walterboro High School. Glenn worked as a heating and air conditioning mechanic throughout his career. Glenn never met a stranger. He would stop and help anybody in need. He is known for his 3 hour milk and bread run to the local store, that was 4 miles down the road, or his 3 hour trash dump run that was 2 minutes down the road. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Betty Louise Riley Tumbleston of Walterboro, S.C.; daughter Brandi N. Craven (Adam) of Walterboro, S.C., son Glenn S. Tumbleston, Jr. (Ashley) of Cottageville, S.C. He is survived by his father Donald A. Tumbleston, Sr., of Charleston, S.C., sisters, Irene Buenting (David) of Edisto Island, S.C. and Betty Jo Bagwell (Floyd) of Ridgeway, S.C.; brother Donald A. Tumbleston, Jr. (Melissa) of Covington, L.A. He is survived by 4 grandchildren. Adam J. Craven, Jr. of Walterboro, S.C., Marah N. Craven of Walterboro, S.C., Glenn S. Tumbleston, I 11 of Cottageville, S.C. and Marlee R. Tumbleston of Cottageville, S.C. Glenn is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty B. Tumbleston Mother in-law, Carrie B. Riley and grandparents.
