The Polar Express is coming

Posted

The Polar Express will be making a stop at the Colleton County Arts Council on Saturday Dec. 5 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., and again from 1-3 p.m.
For several years, CCAC has made this a free event to kids all ages. And in order to make the event more fun, they are suggesting that participants come in their favorite Christmas pajamas.
The Polar Express’ famous conductor will read the beautiful Christmas story, and hopefully if everyone believes and rings the bells, the magical Santa will appear.

The event will also sponsor Christmas crafts that children can make as well as having pictures taken with Santa. Holiday treats will also enrich the day.
The smiles on children’s faces and the gleam in their eyes is one reason to enjoy the season. “This is our free gift to Colleton,” said Heather Larson, CCAC director. “People can choose to attend Polar Express-1 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. or Polar Express-2 from 1-3 p.m. Please pick a time that’s best for you. Happy Holidays from your Colleton County Arts Council.”
The address is 334 Wichman Street, Walterboro, and the phone number is 843-549-1922. Covid-19 regulations will apply.
