The May meeting of the P.E.P (People Enjoying People) featured Mr. Joe Hudson as its guest speaker. Mr. Hudson is a childhood friend of club President Ms. Norma Weeks.

Mr. Hudson had a difficult beginning in life. His father died before he was born, and he spent time in an orphanage, and he was out in the world on his own at a very young age. With a 10th grade education Mr. Hudson enlisted in the Army, became a paratrooper, and concluded his military career with a Master’s Degree and as a general.

He and his wife, Ella Mann Hudson owned Human Resources Data, a computer business with over 6,000 clients. Mr. Hudson sold that business and at the young age of 84, he is starting a new venture, Underwater Explorations. This new undertaking will utilize drones, and Mr. Hudson will train all the workers himself. Mr. Hudson’s story was very interesting and was enjoyed by all members.

The P.E.P Club is a senior club for anyone over fifty. They meet the last Tuesday of the month at the Recreation Center in the Industrial Area 12:00. First visit is free, and membership dues are $5.00 per year should one choose to join. For any information call club President Norma Weeks at 843-538-8950.
