Colleton County Memorial Library children’s librarian Shiela Keaise got a visit from the Handy family and they told her that their favorite program was “Paint This with Brother Nizar,” a painting class.
“This is popular now because people want things to do,” Keaise said. “The Handy family told me that this was their favorite program so far and we had quite a few good programs. They painted both of his sessions and wanted to show me their results.”
Brother Nizar is no stranger to the library. He has been a special guest in a variety of capacities. He is a Gullah artist and teaches art. The program is now available on the library’s YouTube.
