A large storage building was destroyed in an afternoon fire at a residence on Turkey Hill Lane, March 16th. 9-1-1 was notified of a grass fire at the Turkey Hill Lane location and found 1/2 acre grass and woods fire, with a large storage building on fire. The fire spread from a debris fire in a pit near the storage building. Light winds carried embers from the debris fire to the surrounding grass, which then spread to the storage building. A nearby semi truck and workshop were saved.
