Authorities responded to a shooting on Augusta Highway near the Maple Cane Community. The December 7th shooting involved an adult male who was shot multiple times during an altercation in the parking lot of the Bar & Grill. Colleton County Deputies applied tourniquets in an effort to stop the man’s bleeding. Colleton County Firefighter-Paramedics treated the man’s many injuries and transported the patient to the Trauma Center at Trident Hospital in North Charleston. Additional Firefighter-Paramedics assisted with his care enroute to the Trauma Center. The Colleton County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident
