An adult male was critically injured when his motorcycle collided with a semi-truck that was being towed on Interstate 95 near the 61 mile marker southbound Saturday morning Janaury 31 at 2:02 am. Firefighter-Paramedics found the man semi-conscious laying in the median with multiple traumatic injuries. He was quickly treated at the scene. The CARE Flight helicopter could not fly due to poor weather conditions, so the Flight crew responded to the scene and assisted with the man’s care. They assisted during the transport to the Trauma Center at HCA Trident Hospital in North Charleston by Fire-Rescue Medic 1. The truck driver was not injured. The accident is being investigated by the SC Highway Patrol.
