The South Carolina Independent School Association (SCISA) recently announced major changes to member schools regarding athletic realignment for 2022-2024. For the first time in over 40 years, SCISA will add a new classification - AAAA. All-Sports classification (non-football) will include AAAA, AAA, AA, and Class A. For football, which is determined by the number of boys in grades 8-11, SCISA announced five classes including AAAA, AAA, AA, A, and 8-man.
For 2022-24, Colleton Prep will compete in Region 2-AA in the all-sports classification and in AA in football.
SCISA All-Sport Classification from across the state includes:
Class AAAA
Region I: Augusta Christian, Ben Lippen, Cardinal Newman, Hammond, Heathwood Hall
Region II: Camden Military, Laurence Manning, Trinity Collegiate, Wilson Hall
Region III: Ashley Hall, First Baptist, Northwood, Pinewood Prep, Porter-Gaud
Class AAA
Region I: Hilton Head Christian, Hilton Head, Prep John Paul II (region will complete region schedule with Class 2A-Region II)
Region II: The Carolina Academy, Christian Academy (MB). Florence Christian, Pee Dee Academy, Williamsburg Academy Region III: First Presbyterian, Oakbrook Prep, Spartanburg Christian, Spartanburg Day, Greenwood Christian Region IV: Northside Christian, Orangeburg Prep, Palmetto Christian, Thomas Sumter
