A 35-year-old man died as a result of a possible electrocution at a residence on Player Lane near Ruffin Sunday afternoon 17-July. The male in question and a friend were moving an appliance when the man reportedly received an electrical shock and then fell to the ground unresponsive. Family members immediately began performing correct and adequate CPR until Ruffin area volunteer firefighters arrived a short time later. Fire-Rescue Medic 18 arrived shortly, and advanced resuscitative efforts followed. The man was transported to Colleton Medical Center, but sadly did not survive his injuries.
