Sheriff’s Deputies and Fire-Rescue responded to Round O Rd. near Ferret Lane for a vehicle accident on January 29th. The truck apparently had been southbound on Round O Road, swerved at a high rate of speed and jumped an embankment. The vehicle then struck several trees. The 911 caller indicated the vehicle was in the woods and there was a possibility the driver may have been shot. The victim was deceased on the scene. The incident is being investigated by the Colleton County Sheriff’s Office.
