A single vehicle accident on Cottageville Hwy just east of Round O sent one woman to the Trauma Center early Sunday morning September 1. According to witnesses, the southbound Honda Accord was traveling at a high rate of speed, when it left the roadway and struck several trees. The car received heavy damage and rolled over onto the passenger’s side. The female driver and only occupant of the vehicle, was trapped inside the wreckage. Colleton County Firefighter-Paramedics extricate and treated the victim at the scene. The patient was transported to the Trauma Center at Trident Medical Center. The SC Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
