A Tyler Road residence was destroyed in an early morning fire on March 20th. The fire was spotted by an off-duty Firefighter passing the residence. Colleton County Fire-Rescue arrived to find the single story, wood frame structure was completely destroyed and collapsed. It is reported that apparently the occupants left the residence about two hours earlier with a a space heater on in the home. The cause was most likely the space heater.
