Members of the PEP Club wanted to do something special this Christmas for residents of Veterans Victory House.
So instead of sending their traditional holiday check, the group took brunch to the veterans in December. Assorted pastries, cheese, fruit, juice and coffee were served, and each veteran got as many candy canes as he or she wanted. Every resident also got a Christmas card.
“The PEP members enjoyed visiting with the veterans so much, and we look forward to visiting with them again,” said Norma Weeks, club president.
Members attending were Weeks, Dolce Ann Cone, Cheryl Shiffler and Diana Langdale.
The senior club meets on the last Tuesday of the month at the Recreation Center at noon. For information, call Weeks at 843-539-8950.
