Friends of Colleton County Animal Shelter (FoCCAS) held its 10th Annual Paws Fundraiser on Saturday, March 6 at The South Forty Event Center in Round O.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the event was structured a little differently than in years prior, with take-out food provided by Jimmy Fitts and auctions and raffles held virtually. Paws at the Plantation 2021 generated in excess of $25,000 for the animals of Colleton. “We are extremely grateful to all event sponsors, donors, auction and raffle winners, ticket purchasers, volunteers, and all that participated in any way. You are most appreciated and helped make this our best event ever!” said FoCCAS President Jeannette Neal.

Neal thanked The South Forty (Tammy Varn, Lynn Beach, and Jim Driggers) for hosting the event. She also thanked Jimmy Fitts and team for the food; Sparkles, Event Décor & Design for linens; Rita Wade for expertise and guidance with online auctions and advertisements; Johnny Thomas and Audra Hudson for serving as the live show’s hosts; Laura Clark, Shelley Thomas, and Barbara Burgess for assisting backstage during the live show; and to the shelter staff, ACOs, volunteers, veterinarians, transporters, adopters, and rescue partners that continue the life-saving work for the animals.

“FoCCAS would like to thank the amazing monetary sponsors for supporting the 10th annual Paws at the Plantation. Their contributions helped us have our most successful event ever,” said Neal.

FoCCAS is a 501c3 non-profit charity. Friends of Colleton County Shelter supports the homeless animals at the Colleton County Animal Shelter through fundraising, volunteer support, education and other efforts to reduce the population of unwanted pets.
