For The Press and Standard

Mother’s Day, May 8, 2022, was supposed to be a joyous occasion for Stephanie Dantzler and her two beautiful daughters, Shanice and Miranda Dantzler Williams. Stephanie had accomplished a life-long goal, which was to see both of her daughters graduate from college. Miranda, the youngest, received a Bachelor of Arts in criminal justice from Claflin University, on May 7, 2022. While Shanice, the oldest, received a master’s degree in accounting and was employed with the Colleton County Finance Department as an Account Manager.

However, all of their dreams, hopes and aspirations were taken away on May 8, 2022, by the reckless actions of Charleston Deputy, Emily Pelletier, who ran a stop sign on New Road, at a speed in excess of 80 mph, literally crashing the lives out of Stephanie, Shanice and Miranda.

Their loss has been absolutely devastating to their family, friends and colleagues, who will hold a Memorial Service on Monday, May 8, 2023, at 11:00 AM at St Paul Cemetery, 7897 Ritter Road, Walterboro, South Carolina 29488.
