A passenger car and log truck collided on Charleston Hwy., east of Neyles Crossroads Friday afternoon October 3rd. The passenger of a Lexus was trapped in the wreckage. Three people received injuries in the collision. Colleton County Firefighter-Paramedics treated all of the patients on the scene. Crews used Rescue Tools to extricate the passenger from the car. The adult female and the adult male driver were transported to the Trauma Center at MUSC by Fire-Rescue. The driver of the log truck who suffered non-life threatening injuries was taken to the Colleton Medical Center. Charleston Highway was blocked for over an hour. The SC Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
