New dining in Cottageville

Cottageville will have a new hot dog stand “food truck” and Red Brick Pizza.
On Saturdays at 11 a.m. Bear Fam Foods, owned by Gina and Jeremy Goettee, is providing a food truck/hot dog stand and selling hot dog baskets that include chips and a drink to residents and travelers.
According to the Goettees, they are just starting out and will be adding to the menu as time goes on. They offer toppings for the hot dogs that include chili, sauerkraut, grilled onions, jalapenos, relish, chopped onions, ketchup, mustard and mayo. Sodas are Coke products: Coke, Diet Coke, Coke Zero and Sprite. They also have pickles as well.
The hot dog truck will set up next to the car dealership and they will take debit cards.
They also have an incentive. If you pick up a business card and have it stamped on the back, after 10 basket purchases you get one meal free.

Not only do Cottageville residents have hot dogs with a variety of toppings to enjoy, soon they will have pizza too.
Dave and Heike Stanfield, owners of Canine Cottage, are planning to open Red Brick Pizza and wings, a takeout restaurant located next to Canine Cottage and across the street from the car dealership. They will be serving authentic handmade Italian pizzas for takeout and delivery.
Dave has been in the restaurant business his whole life, but this experience will be new to Heike.
“I am originally from Germany, but I have eaten authentic Italian dishes all my life. When the little diner closed down in Cottageville, it was a shame that there was no other place to eat except the gas station and Subway. We wanted something different and close by as an alternative.” said Heike. “After talking to many of my friends, I realized that we were all craving pizza made from Italian recipes. So, Dave and I decided to open our own restaurant.”
Preparing original Italian pizza recipes from scratch, the husband and wife team hope that the community will support their brick oven-baked Italian fare.
“We hoped to keep this under wraps a little longer, but word got out as we were renovating the building. We are excited to be opening this business, and we plan on opening in October,” said Heike. “We just hope to make this a success for the people of Cottageville and that they will enjoy the traditional Italian food we plan to serve.”
