Posted

The Great American Songbook featuring Terry Herron and Friends brought a wide variety of music to the Colleton Civic Center on Saturday, February 7th. From the music of Billy Joel, Neil Diamond, and Aretha Franklin to a variety of Spirituals, Terry Herron and his ensemble brought the music to life.

The night began with an appearance from “Aunt Pearlie Sue”, Anita Prather bringing her Gullah Heritage and message of, “We are all family”, to welcome the crowd. The event hosted by Beaufort residents Scott Gibbs and Terry Herron then began their two-hour concert. Also entertaining at the event was local educator, David Nay on his Saxophone, Mary Manges with her Flute and singing, Marshell Mulligan, Lou Fasano, Nicky Riley, and on Keyboards Ken Lucas and Tony Mulligan.

This is the first of a number of events filling Civic Center Schedule. A wide variety of entertainment options are coming the venue including a Journey Tribute Band, Bessie Bates, and the next event is The Legends of Prime Country featuring the music of Elvis, Merle Haggard, George Jones, and many others coming on Saturday, February 28th.
