For The Press and Standard

After some finishing touches, the mural honoring the Cottageville Police Department has been finished. The large mural covers an entire wall in Cottageville Town Hall and features the work of the Honors Art Club of Cottageville and Mrs. Ashleigh Cook their teacher. The artwork focuses on several different aspects revolving around the town. There is the Town Seal and Cottageville’s location on a map of South Carolina. To represent Cottageville law enforcement the mural features a Patrolman’s badge, police vest, and dogs representing the K9 unit. Lady Justice is also included in the mural for the judicial system in Cottageville. The handprints of the Cottageville Elementary students who contributed a great deal of work make up the border of the mural. Many thanks to the Honors Art Club of Cottageville, Mrs. Cook, Mrs. Green (PBSS), Assistant Chief Dildine, Patrol Office Messer, and Reserve Officer Donoho for this contribution to the Cottageville Police Department.
