Motorcyclist injured in wreck

An adult man was injured when the motorcycle he was riding was struck by an SUV on Bells Highway at Hilton Hall Road Wednesday afternoon Sept. 30 at 3:08 p.m.
The man was wearing a helmet, but suffered a suspected head injury in the collision. The motorcycle received heavy damage. The driver of the SUV was not injured.
Firefighter-paramedics treated the man at the scene, then transported him to the Trauma Center at MUSC in North Charleston.
Both lanes of Bells Highway were blocked for about 25 minutes.
The S.C. Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
