On June 24 an adult female was critically injured in a single vehicle motor vehicle accident on Jacksonboro Road near Charleston Highway (SC Hwy 64) west of Jacksonboro. The vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree. The SUV was located approximately 50 feet off the roadway in the woods with heavy damage. The driver was trapped in the wreckage and had to extricated. She was taken by Colleton County Fire-Rescue to the Trauma Center at MUSC in Charleston. The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating.
