A missing person was found deceased by family members. Tacia Renee Ferguson was reported missing by family members the morning of January 19th, after they were unable to contact her for several hours and became concerned due to the low overnight temperatures. The Colleton County Sheriff’s Office and family members searched for Ferguson. Her body was located around 12 hours later in a wooded area near Kiser St. and Hendersonville Highway.
The Colleton County Sheriff’s Office and the Colleton County Coroner’s Office is investigating the death with an autopsy being requested because of the unknown circumstances regarding her death.
