Mallory Beach wrongful death suit reaches resolution

After long negotiations a settlement was reached in the wrongful death suit of Mallory Beach. The family of Mallory Beach initially brought the suit against the Murdaugh family including Paul. Upon Paul’s death the charges against him were dropped. Alex Murdaugh continued to be named in the suit as well as Parker’s convenience store who is accused of selling alcohol to an underage Paul Murdaugh. A settlement for $18 million dollars was reached with the bulk of the money going to the family of Mallory Beach ($15 million) and the remainder of the money will be divided among the survivors of the incident Miley Altman, Anthony Cook, Connor Cook, and Morgan Daughty.
