The Sustainability Institute helps SCORE build and oyster reef

The Sustainability Institute is one of SCORE's biggest partners!

This is an amazing opportunity for a young person to receive free job training and conservation work experience. They have a number of different opportunities available, including 900-hr (6- month) terms and 1700-hr (1- year) terms. They are also seeking Crew Leaders for that 1700-hr term.

In addition to free certification training (valued at over $1,500), most AmeriCorps members are paid $9.44-$12/ hour depending on length of service and receive a Segal Education Award upon graduation (up to $6,495).

This year, the Conservation Corps members will be engaged in a variety of really exciting conservation projects, including a lot of salt marsh restoration activities up and down the coast of South Carolina; designing and constructing rain gardens; planting native trees and plants as part of urban renewal or reforestation projects; and building trails, bridges and boardwalks in our national forests, wildlife refuges and state and local parks.
