Six-year-old Aria Moody drown in an incident on the Edisto River April 30. Her mother Taisha A. Moody was charged with murder/homicide in Aria’s drowning as well as other charges relating to the incident. Aria and her siblings were playing in the river when she was swept away by the current. Witnesses stated that Taisha Moody left the children in the water unsupervised knowing they could not swim and without flotation equipment. Ms. Moody will make her first court appearance July 14.
