Weslin Jones
Class of 2021
Personal Goal: My personal goal would be to make it to state and get the opportunity to play my whole senior season unless the Corona virus stops us.
Role Model: My role model would be Coach Katrina Moffett. I have grown up playing softball for her and she has helped shape me to be the best player and teammate on and off the field.
On balancing academics and athletics: My academics always come first, so I make it my priority before any games or practices.
Favorite Book: “The Champion’s Mind” by Jim Afremow
Thoughts on COVID-19: I think COVID-19 has made a tremendous negative impact on sports. All athletes lost a year of playing time, but I am thankful that I get to play my last year.

Personal Goal: My personal goal for the season is to remain undefeated and to just enjoy the game, my teammates and our coach as this is the last year I will be playing.

On balancing academics and athletics: Dedication to both academics and athletics is important for success!
Favorite Book: “The Fault in our Stars” by John Green
Thoughts on COVID-19: COVID-19 has made us all more aware of the importance of good sanitation practices that maybe we should have been doing all along. Healthy athletics are important for a healthy season.
