Lady Hawks improve to 5-0



Last week was busy for the Colleton Prep Lady Hawk Volleyball team as they played four consecutive volleyball matches and improved to 5-0 on the season.

In an away match against Jefferson Davis held Monday Aug. 24 on the road, the Lady Hawks won in three sets 25-17, 26-24 and 25-19. Caroline Mock had four kills on the day and Linley Jones had eight aces. Weslin Jones had three kills and three aces, Ella Nolte had three kills and one ace, Taylor Tomedolskey had three kills, Emily Wilson had three aces and one kill, Kaylee Warren had one ace and one kill, and Jessica Hughes had one ace.

At home against Orangeburg Prep Tuesday, Aug. 25, CPA again took the match in three straight sets winning 25-13, 25-20 and 25-19. W. Jones had 11 aces and three kills to lead the Lady Hawks. Tomedolskey had five kills and two aces, Hughes recorded five aces and Nolte had three kills and two aces. L. Jones had two kills and four aces, Mock had three kills and Rachel Wright had a kill.

The Lady Hawks continued the win streak against Dorchester Academy Wednesday Aug. 26 at home going undefeated 25-7, 28-26 and 25-18. Hughes recorded 14 aces in the game and Wilson had six aces. L. Jones had three kills and two aces and W. Jones had three kills. Warren had three kills and two aces. Wright, Nolte, Ally Crook, Caroline Kinard and Mock each had a kill. Cassie Craven had an ace in the match.

Earning their fourth win of the week against Beaufort Academy Thursday Aug. 27, the Lady Hawks dominated, winning 25-15, 26-24, and 25-15. W. Jones had eight kills and three aces and Nolte had seven kills. Tomedolskey had five kills and one ace, Wilson had three aces and a kill, and Hughes had two aces. L. Jones and Mock each had two kills and Wright had one kill.
