lterboro, entered into rest Wednesday morning, July 19, 2023 at his residence.  Born October 19, 1959, in Charleston, he was the son of the late John Henry Jones and Daisy Adel Lupton Jones.  He was a retired brick mason.  He enjoyed shooting pool, taking long rides, and was a hard worker.  Most of all, he loved his family and friends and always enjoyed cooking for them and spending time with everyone. Surviving are: his wife, Susan Lucas DeLoach of Walterboro; children, Brett Scantling of Tennessee, and William DeLoach (Betty), John “J.J.” Jones, Ethan Jones, and Dorothy Jones, all of Walterboro; grandchildren, Morgan DeLoach, McKenzie Cagle, Johnni Elizabeth Quick, Nicholas Norris, Kayla Taylor, Christopher Caswell, Anika Norris, and Desirae Evans; great grandchildren, Cade Quick and Solan Norris-Donlon; sisters, Sandy Watson (Billy) and Pamela Williams (R.J.); mother-in-law, Karen Lucas; and someone he loved as a sister, Karen Self (David).  He is now resting in peace with his parents and his daughter, Katie Norris Jones. Funeral services were held 6 o’clock, Friday evening, July 21, 2023, at The Brice Herndon Chapel, Walterboro.  The family received friends for a time a visitation following the service.
