An adult male was severely injured in a two vehicle on Charleston Hwy just west of Jacksboro Road. The accident occurred Thursday, October 3 when two west bound passenger cars collided, sending one vehicle into the ditch where it struck a driveway culvert, became airborne and struck several trees. The car overturned trapping the driver. No one was injured in the second vehicle. Colleton County Firefighter-Paramedics removed the driver’s side of the car to extricate the victim. He was treated at the scene and transported to the Trauma Center at MUSC. The SC Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
