The Salkehatchie Indians earned a win over Denmark Tech (82-67) in the final game of the regular season to finish 7-9 overall and 4-6 in Region X.
The Indians will begin competition in the Region X Atlantic District Tournament on Tuesday, April 6 as the No. 5 seed, where they will travel to take on No. 2 Cape Fear Community College. During the regular season, the Indians split decisions against Cape Fear, earning an 86-79 win in early March, then losing a close decision March 20 (100-96).
In the recent win over Denmark Tech on Wednesday March 31, Indian Damontrez Ruffin scored 23 points, recorded seven assists and five rebounds in the game. DiShon Daniels added 12 points, eight rebounds, four assists and four blocks. Randall Litmon had 12 points, 10 rebounds, and three steals, while RJ Campbell had 12 points and nine rebounds. James Mingo added 11 points to the score.
