The Edisto Beach local fire department has a program that loans out beach wheelchairs at no charge to anyone living at or visiting Edisto Beach. There are currently about 15 chairs on hand, and they are always in high demand. Luckily for Edisto Beach they were contacted by Ms. Emma Hart wishing to donate another beach wheelchair. Ms. Hart is the Director of Business Development for Edisto Best Rentals. She delivered it to the fire department this past week. It is through the kindness and thoughtfulness of people like Ms. Hart that makes it possible for Edisto Beach to offer this free service. As you know, weather and time take its toll on the chairs. The fire department members do a fantastic job keeping them in top working order, but they do wear with time. Thanks to the generosity of people like Ms. Hart Edisto Beach is able to keep the equipment updated.
