The Colleton County Athletic Hall of Fame is seeking nominations for induction into this year’s Hall of Fame class. Individuals may be nominated by filling out a nomination form and mailing the form to the Colleton County High School Athletic Department. Forms may be found on the athletic hall of fame website. Applications must be received by August 1, 2023.

The Hall of Fame is open to any individual who graduated from a public high school in Colleton County. These former high schools would include Cottageville, Colleton High, Bells, Ruffin, Hendersonville, Smoaks, Lodge, and Walterboro High. The purpose of the Hall of Fame is to recognize those individuals who excelled in athletics while in high school. This recognition would include all-conference, all-state, all-star games and most valuable player of a team. The Hall of Fame is not limited to one sport but includes all sports offered by the high school. An individual must have been a graduate of at least ten years from high school.

Those individuals who are deceased may be considered for the Hall of Fame. Also, those individuals who have supported the athletic department through their works or contributions to the athletic department may be considered for induction into the hall of fame.

Those individuals selected will be recognize and inducted into the Hall of Fame during the half-time of a home football game this fall.
