Round O – Mrs. Betty Ann Gruber, 63, of Round O, entered into rest Friday morning, September 1, 2023, at her residence.
Born September 27, 1959, in Dorchester County, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Cecil and Mildred Infinger Marchant. She worked for many years as school bus driver for Colleton County. She enjoyed hunting, fishing and shrimping alongside her husband and was a very talented artist.
Surviving are: her husband of forty-five years, Mr. Mitchell L. Gruber; four children, Christina Clark (Bubba) of Round O, Jennifer Crawford (Ricky) of Walterboro, Karen Mount of Walterboro, and Kelly Ryan of Walterboro; two brothers, Jerome Marchant and Donald Wayne Marchant both of Rosinville, twelve grandchildren, Jacob Colson, Preston Clark, Chase Clark, Mackenzie Stanfill, Kaylei Stanfill, Jason Stanfill, Autumn Thomas, Alan Kincaid, Robbie Mizell, Ashely Mount, Sherrie Smyly, and Kayla Miller; and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Smyly; a sister, Donna Cutter; and a brother, Timothy Marchant.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 o’clock Monday morning, September 11, 2023, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. Interment will follow the service.
