In what was categorized as a discouraging showing, the March blood drive at Good Shepherd collected only 39 pints of blood from 43 donors. Those donors that participated were Jonathan Clackum, Marlene Williamon, Fran Mack, Muchael Kuszmaul, Bucky McCormick, Bill Weeks, Rebecca Foster, Reather Mickens, Allison Langdale, Willie Dobison, Scotty Kinard, Gary Hermann, Leon Brown, Mitchell Bennett, Ricky Crosby, Barbara Hawkins, Sarah Judy, Donald, Davis, Kelley O’Quinn, Alta Mae Marvin, Mary Jo Fox, Kenneth Hlausa, Doris Nettles, Alex Wiggins (1 gallon), Margaret Jones, Diane Wicker, Ernest Canaday, Michael Brinson, Arlene Cassedy, Karson Hiott, Lisa Turner, Sonya Manigo, Mylinda O’Quinn, P.A. Pournelle, Sue Deegan, Mike Hutto, Cornelius Reid, Terry Pournelle, Summer White, Patricia Allmond, Constance Barnes-McLeod, Susan Bennett, and Norma Weeks.
The next blood drive at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church will be on May 13. If you are not a blood donor, please plan on giving at the next blood drive as there is a desperate shortage and will get worse as summer comes and schools are out.
