Four people died in a head-on collision that left two drivers and two passengers dead Monday night.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol reported that the collision occurred on Highway 303 approximately four miles south of Walterboro, Master Trooper Mitchell Ridgeway said.
Master Trooper Mitchell Ridgeway said that a 2020 Volkswagen SUV was traveling on SC-303 when it collided with a 2004 Dodge minivan.
The driver and two passengers of the minivan died at the scene. Colleton County Fire-Rescue transported the driver of the Volkswagen to the hospital where that person later passed away.
The Colleton County Coroner’s Office has not yet released the names of the victims. The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
