Fire-Rescue Engine 9 responded to a residence on Augusta Hwy, Thursday afternoon December 14th. Upon arrival they found smoke visible from a double wide mobile home. Firefighter-Paramedics entered through the front door and found fire in the kitchen and quickly extinguished the flames. The fire originated from cooking and extended to the cabinets. The home suffered smoke damage, but all personal belongings were saved. Crews were on the scene for over an hour. No injuries were reported.
