Finigan chosen Outstanding Bandsman of the Year

William Finigan was awarded the Outstanding Bandsman of the Year from the South Carolina Theta Chapter of Phi Beta Mu Honorary Bandmaster’s Fraternity for the 2019-2020 school year.

He was also awarded the 2020 Phi Beta Mu Music Scholarship and the 2020 Danette Chubb Memorial Big Blue Scholarship.

Finigan, a senior at Colleton County High School, was recently awarded a school of music scholarship and honors academic scholarship to Western Carolina University.

He will be an incoming freshman music education major at Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, N.C. this fall and will be a member of the Pride of the Mountains Marching Band.

He is the son of Band of Blue Director Tom Finigan.
