Mr. Ralph O. Ferguson, 93, of Cottageville, entered into rest Friday, November 21, 2025, at Colleton Medical Center. He was the husband of the late Dorothy Hughes Ferguson to whom he was married 68 years.
Born April 4, 1933, in Colleton County, he was a son of the late Benjamin Ferguson and Judy Elizabeth Weeks Ferguson. He was a retried carpenter. Mr. Ralph was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. He attended Maple Cane Baptist Church and Edisto Pentecostal Holiness Church. Most of all, he loved his grandchildren and spending time with them.
Surviving are: his children, Ben Ferguson (Stella) of Green Pond and Lisa Ferguson Chambers (Billy Wayne) of Round O; four grandchildren, Casey Ferguson (Jamie), Cody Chambers (Taylor), Skylar Hickman (Jared), and Jewel Chambers; four great grandchildren, Weston Hill-Chambers, Brinley Chambers, Oaklyn Hickman, and Case Ferguson; as well as a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Christina Ferguson; and 5 brothers and sisters.
Funeral services were held 2 o’clock Monday afternoon, November 24, 2025, at The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. Interment followed in Meeting House Cemetery.
