Colleton County Fire-Rescue units responded to a report of an unconscious person who was not breathing at an address on Koth Street Friday evening 27 October. Medic 19 and Battalion 1 arrived in the area and were directed to a nearby residence on Able Street. They found a deceased adult male with a gunshot wound. The man had no signs of life. The Coroner's Office was requested and responded to the scene. Sheriff's Deputies and Walterboro Police Officers also responded. The Sheriff's Office is leading the investigation.
