Mrs. Deborah Hiers Cummins, 74, of Walterboro, entered into eternal rest Sunday evening, April 26, 2026, at her residence. Born June 11, 1951, in Charleston, she was a daughter of the late George Hiers and Pauline Ritter Crawford. She was a dental hygienist for many years for Dr. David W. Stone, Jr. in West Ashley. She worked faithfully alongside her husband at The Computer Store in Walterboro. She enjoyed cross-stitching and gardening. Deborah was a member of Faith Church-Walterboro and believed firmly in the power of prayer. Surviving are: her husband Jeffrey Allan Cummins of Walterboro; children, Michelle Shamblin of Cottageville, Nolan A. “Trae” Thomas, III (Lorraine) of Walterboro, and Faith Thomas of Charleston; sisters, Amelia Grimm of Walterboro, Betty Mizzell of Moncks Corner, and Iris Pellino of Texas; brother, Don Hiers (Doris) of Greenwood; 5 grandchildren, Mark Shamblin (Lily), Sherry Jade Fox (Deron), Nolan A. Thomas, IV (Wilmarie), Christen Thomas, and Eli Thomas; and great grandchildren, Nayden, Niam, Noble, Nevaeh, Camden, DJ, Easton and Lincoln. She was preceded in death by her great granddaughter, Aryah Thomas; and siblings, Audrey Albers, Joyce Osborne, Miriam Carter, and Wendell Hiers.
