October 25, HCA Healthcare Colleton Hospital joined forces with the Walterboro Police Department and Colleton County Sheriff’s Office to host the annual Crush the Crisis prescription drug take back event to raise awareness about the dangers of prescription drug misuse and the importance of safe and proper disposal of unused or expired medications.
This event coincided with the Drug Enforcement Administration’s (DEA) National Prescription Drug Take Back Day and offered the community an opportunity to safely dispose of unused and expired medications (including pet medication), no questions asked.
Narcan Distribution: Pillars 4 Hope Colleton was also onsite to distribute Narcan, a life-saving medication that can reverse an opioid overdose and save a life.
