The Colleton County High School Cougars made the playoffs in a remarkable series of events. Despite losing to Bluffton Friday night by a score of 55-21, having a losing record and not finishing in the top of the region, the Cougars found a way to claim a spot in the playoffs. CCHS Head Coach applied for a wild card entry to participate in the playoffs. The application was sent to the High School League for consideration. The application contains the schedule the team played, strength of schedule, and the results of the games. After consideration the Cougars were granted a wild card game.

Coach Kinloch stated, “you never know what will happen once you get into the playoffs. Anything can happen if the right team starts playing and anything can happen. We know it is a longshot, but we are ready to go give our best and see what happens”.

The Cougars play at Irmo Friday night at 7:30 in Columbia.
