Cougars Defeat Hilton Head For Homecoming

Leading 20-14 in the fourth quarter, the Cougars would get a 50-yard touchdown run to seal the victory over Hilton Head. With the win, the Cougars have won two games in a season and a conference win for the first time in two years. The Cougars got a timely interception in the fourth quarter to stop a Hilton Head drive.

The Cougars and Dolphins would battle to a 14-14 half-time score before the Cougars would put the game away in the second half.

The Cougars had a balanced attack and rushed for 116 yards and pass for 129 yards for a total of 245 total yards.

Hilton Head would finish with 86 yards rushing and 222 yards passing for 308 total yards. The Dolphins also threw 3 interceptions in Cougar territory that gave the Cougars more ammunition to secure the win.

The Cougars will try to continue their success as they travel to Bluffton to take on Mae River. Game time is scheduled for 7:30.
