The CCHS Male Student-Athlete of the Month is Christian Glover; he was nominated by CCHS Cross Country Coach Yaeger, who stated, “Christian started cross country last year as a requirement from basketball conditioning, but was the only one who stuck with it and ran for the team. He is the solo male senior for the team this year. Christian is the male runner I can depend on. He helps me fill the water cooler before every practice and set up any equipment we need for practices/workouts. Anything I ask of him, he responds with “yes sir”. Christian is always on-time for practices and meets but the best attribute about Christian is his attitude to do better and excel as a runner. He may not be the fastest but he tries to compete with the best. At every race he tells me “Coach I’m going to win today, I want one of those medals.” During our previous race this month, one of our runners was struggling. Christian sacrificed his own time to run with his teammate and motivated him to keep pushing in order to finish the race. He’s an overall joy to have on the team.”

The CCHS Female Student-Athlete of the Month is Lily Kilpatrick; she was nominated by Varsity Girls Tennis Coach Brawley, who stated, “I am nominating Lily Kilpatrick as the Female Student-Athlete of the Month. Lily has never missed a practice and is ranked #2 on the team after having only begun playing this year! Lily has won all three of her matches this season, but also balances a heavy school workload while maintaining a 5.223 GPA! Lily has a great work ethic and attitude, and is always willing to pitch in. We only regret that she did not join us sooner and will miss her next year!”

The CCMS Male Student-Athlete of the Month is Travis Aiken; he was nominated by CCMS Football Coach Jacobs, who stated, “Travis has shown excellent leadership on the field. Travis has constantly picked up his teammates and has helped them out when struggling. He ensures that players are on the field on time. Not only does Travis show exceptional leadership skills on the field, he also does so in the classroom. Travis is a leader in class and makes sure that the rest of the football players are doing what they should be doing in the classroom and hallways.”

The CCMS Female Student-Athlete of the Month is Brooklyn Stuard; she was nominated by JV Girls Tennis Coach Brawley, who stated, “For CCMS Female Student-Athlete of the Month, I would like to nominate Brooklyn Stuard. As a middle schooler, Brooklyn is #4 on the JV Tennis Team! She is brand new to the game, but has attended practice faithfully and has worked hard to earn a spot on the team. Brooklyn is very coachable, and demonstrates a lot of maturity for her young age. She also maintains almost all A+’s in school. We look forward to watching her grow over her high school career!”
