Congratulations Jonas

Congratulations to Jonas, one of “the guys” in our transitional housing program. This past Thursday Jonas graduated the 14th Circuit Solicitor’s Office Multidisciplinary Court Treatment Program (known as Drug Court). Jonas plans to live with us a little while longer while he is preparing to transition to the next phase in his life.

We are so proud of this young man for all he has accomplished over this past year! It definitely hasn’t been easy, there has been some ups and downs. But only by the grace of God, here we are today!

Over this past year we have watched Jonas flourish into such a talented, genuine person. He has shown his artistic talent all over town with our empty bowls project and drawing on the windows of businesses. He has developed a relationship with Christ, become a leader, learned life skills, obtained his driver’s license and purchased a vehicle. We are blessed to be a small part of his journey and wish him all the success in his future endeavors!

Jonas is the third graduate of the drug court program that we have had the privilege of providing safe housing for throughout the program. It is always such a bittersweet moment at graduation but we know that God has placed us in their life for this period of time for a reason and we pray that throughout their time with us we have made an impact that will stick with them for a life time. We love you Jonas! You will always have a special place at In His Name-Colleton.
